What Does 24 Hour Consent Mean To You?
In 1999 the State of Michigan passed the "24 Hour Waiting Period Law". This means that you are required by law to review materials provided by the State of Michigan at LEAST 24 hours before an abortion can take place.
The information may be received in the following ways:
- Picked up at Scotsdale Women's Center
- Faxed to you (please call us)
- Obtained online from the link below (you must be able to print the last page)
If you wish to review the material on the internet, you are required by law to review the State website. At the end of the website you must print a confirmation form and present it to us on the day of your appointment.IF THE TIME/DATE ON YOUR FORM LESS THEN 24 HOURS FROM YOUR APPOINTMENT TIME, YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED.
