Counseling

All patients meet privately with a trained counselor before their procedure to ensure they understand all of their available options, and to confirm their consent for the procedure they choose.

During the counseling session all questions are answered, resources are provided, and a safe space is created for a patient to express any emotions that may come up – grief, sadness, relief, anger, anxiety. The counselor’s role is to meet each patient where they are.
